A hard to find, and very collectible release of Midleton Very Rare from the 1985 vintage.
Initial notes of yellow fruit like kumquats, papaya, and mango, followed by pot still characteristics of unmalted barley. Some reviewers also note traces of sandalwood and beeswax.
Rounded and creamy with prominent maltiness and roasted almonds. Other flavors include creme caramel, acacia honey, custard powder, vanilla, dried apricots, figs, and cinnamon. A touch of gingerbread and toasted oak may also be present.
Medium-long with lingering notes of nutmeg, clove, and a touch of liquorice.
