Killowen Cask #32 Baráatúil

Cask No KD 32 was produced using locally grown oats, contained in the mashbill. These oats were proudly sourced from the Rostrevor & District Vintage Club, harvested and bagged at their Annual Threshing Day in support of the SAHS.
Grown and harvested on the slopes of Knock Shee, just a stone's throw from the distillery, these oats were cultivated by an extraordinary group of people who make significant contributions to their community and the local hospice on an ongoing basis.
The brainchild of distiller Brendan Carty, to continue this journey, he has distilled this locally grown produce to make a unique mash bill for an incredible single pot still Irish whiskey.
Matured in a 50 Litre Firkin , recouped from an Ex-Bourbon Rye Cask and toasted to a medium char to create a truly one-of-a-kind whiskey.
