Hyde 1640 No.8 Stout Cask Finish
Types of Barrel used for Aging The Single Grain was matured in a first fill flame charred Bourbon barrel and the Single Malt was matured in a toasted Oloroso Sherry cask before the final liquid was finished in a Cotton Ball stout infused cask for 5 to 6 months.
A superb blended whiskey which has been comprised of 75% 4 Year Old Single Grain (previously aged in an ex-Bourbon cask) and 25% 4 Year Old Single Malt (previously matured in an Oloroso Sherry Butt) before being finished for five to six months in a Cotton Ball Stout infused cask. This collaboration between Hyde Whiskey and the Cotton Ball Brewing Company has resulted in a whiskey which has an abundance of coffee and malty notes. Smooth and creamy on the finish!
Aromas (without water) Deep coffee notes with well-rounded caramel overtones.
Palate (without water) Full bodied and malty with a creamy finish.
