Celtic Cask Do Dheag (12) 2000 15 Year Old Rhone Cask Finish
Celtic Cask Do Dheag is a double distilled Irish single malt that was initially aged in a Bourbon cask for 10 years. This was followed by nearly 5 years in a red wine Syrah barrel from Domaine Des Anges based in the Ventoux area of France's Rhone valley.
This is non-chill filtered and bottled at 46%. It was initially casked in the year 2000 and bottled on 4th August 2015. 331 bottles were released.
Nose Vibrant fruit aromas of peach, apricot, raisins, cola and pineapple drizzled in honey.
Palate Sultanas, dried apricots, caramel toffees, vanilla, Madeira cake, vanilla and honey.
Finish Well balanced and quite refined.
Types of Barrel used for Aging Initially matured in an ex-Bourbon barrel, followed by nearly 5 year in a red wine Syrah barrel from Domaine des Anges from the Ventoux area in France.
