Bill Phil 17yo PX Cask

A 17 Year Old double distilled single malt which was distilled at the Cooley Distillery in 2002 and bottled by W.D. O'Connell Whiskey Merchants. This small batch limited release only has 370 bottles and was initially matured for seventeen years in first fill Bourbon barrels before being finished for six months in Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks. Well-rounded flavours of red berry coulis, light spice and some oak tannins. 

Nose Ripe red berries, candied tangerine skin, malted barley & vanilla dusted sultanas.

Palate Vibrant red berry coulis - red wine tannins meet fresh citrus, juicy redcurrants & tangy raspberry. Orchards fruits, light spice & oak tannins are intertwined with the Pedro Ximenez influence.

Finish A PX laden creamy mouth coating, delivering enough sweetness & weight to carry the red berries on long after the dram is gone.
