An Fear Grinn Single Rye Cask

After 13 long years ageing in wood, the Tide is In at long last with this limited release. An Fear Grinn Tide's In is a single cask, cask strength, single grain aged in classic bourbon cask before finished in Oloroso to create a subtly sweet and elegant whiskey. This one is powerful and complex, with a great mouth feel and an immediate impression of dark fruits: plums, blackberries, sultanas. Crisp mature grain, warm dark honey with background of intense licorice and zesty orange all surrounded by wonderful quality oak vanilla notes. Non-chill filtered and bottled at 57.8% ABV. 

Aromas (without water) Black treacle syrup, dark rich fruit, beautifully balanced aromas of warm vanilla, dark honey, candy orange with dark chocolate, pecan nuts and red fruit compote.

Flavour Powerful and complex, great mouth feel with immediate impression of dark fruits : plums, blackberries, sultanas. Crisp mature grain, warm dark honey with background of intense licorice and zesty orange all surrounded by wonderful quality oak vanilla notes.

Finish All the previously mentioned palate flavours sing along in great harmony with lovely lingering dark sweetness fading slowly.
